I had an excellent couple of weeks. It started off with a letter from the attorney my kids hired to do my Compassionate Release motion. The letter informed me that my Motion was complete and would be going in soon. Next I received word from my son, Chris, that he and his brother, Marco had hired a professional photographer to photograph my paintings! Big deal. I've been trying to get this done for several years. You cannot understand how important this is to me. What it does is show that I have learned a new skill and that I am applying this skill for good as appossed to wasting my time or using my time negatively. Plus: I've finally been allowed to join a paint class. Once I finish this I'll be able to order supplies; point is, I should be painting in March.
Next, I heard from my niece Mayra; I haven't heard from her in years. Better still, she and her new husband are coming to Texas to see the family. She did, and it went off with a wonderful reunion; she is like a daughter to me.Then, within a few days of this I received a letter from an old friend of mine named, Louis; been twelve years. Louis has offered to help me with my books ... I have three new manuscripts just sitting and waiting for someone to love them.
Then, there's this gray cat on the yard.
He's really skittish to everyone. However, there's this Mexican guy who has been feeding him a store-bought Mackerel pack EVERYDAY! And that cat lets him pet her. Well, that guy left and no one has replaced him. So I started sharing my meals with her ... but a lot of what I give her she doesn't like. Well, the skinny broad (my daughter) has been sending me money ... and, well, I bought some Mackerel packs and started feeding her one every morning. And this little cat will do backflips for a Mackerel. So, yep, you guessed it. I'm petting her.
Been a good couple of weeks. I have lots to be thankful for.
