Liar

We lie to our fathers concerning our courage;
because we do not want them to know we are cowards.
We lie to our mothers about faith;
because we do not want them to know that we have lost our religion.
We lie to our wives about infidelity;
because we do not want them to imagine they do not please us.
We lie to our children about truth;
because we desire that they be better than we are. 

To be born a man is to be born a liar.
