The Hawk Within

"To love is not like riding a bicycle; give it up for even for a moment, and you will forget how."

I feel a pull, and my ghost is back upon the mesa. I cannot tell if it be day or if it be night. I see a hawk floating above me like a dark and feathered figure cutting this way and that upon a breeze that I can neither see nor feel. My eyes meet those of the hawk, and then I am the hawk. We, the hawk and I, float upon the air of this pariah plane without effort. I see a mouse scurrying below, and with a swift dive, we have it in our murderous talons, the way hawks do. We sweep to a landing and, with deviled beak, take the life of the mendicant mouse. The "me" within is appalled, yet the "me" without feels nothing. I spring from with the hawk and find myself sitting naked atop a round stone, facing the hawk that I was. I look skyward, and the clouds are pinks and reds and seem to be moving passed, right to left.

"The One made life, but didn't make it to be pleasant for all creatures. Some live by thought, some live by instinct. Some procreate in pleasure, some in pain. It is the way of life," says the hawk to me. I return my attention to him.

"A thing is what it is. A person is what he is meant to be," continues the hawk. "A person must seek his own way, in his own world, and that way, which he seems drawn, is due to his own personal destiny. To answer your unspoken question, no. No matter what opposite decisions you might have made before... your course would have led you to the same result. There is no opposite to destiny, only that which you are meant to experience. Yes, it is possible that you could have avoided prison. But in reality, it is prison that has righted your sinking vessel. No one promised it would be easy, for the ocean upon which the vessel of self sails is harsh and stormy, breaking apart and sinking those lacking solid structure. Life IS hard, and requires fortitude to pass through.

"Do not worry about the others that life has given you to love, for they are well and living out their own destines. Do not try to comprehend the reasons behind their individual trials and tribulations, because you are not meant to know their life events. Remember... life is education. Life is also a ritual, and rituals require blood. Else, they are a sham, a staged event acted upon by the malformed, to satisfy the whims of pretty little boys and girls who play the game of life from the safety of their own atavistic dramas. Remember, life is a ritual, and rituals require blood."

I think on what the hawk has told me. I understand. Every person is gifted with a mind, every person has the ability to become advanced spiritually, but must first improve the impurities of idle thought. For idle thought is the way of the lower order, the way of the flesh. The flesh is limited due to its inability to move into  nonphysical realities. Therefore, you must, like a hawk, rise above the constraints of the flesh vehicle, if you want to progress into the nonphysical realities. However sometimes this raising of consciousness brings about discomfort, as is the case with me and my bouts of depression. Remember, the the reason why we are experiencing cerebral memories is not by chance, but by design. Your higher-self is forcing ME/YOU to confront a reality that our fleshy mind is repressing. Only then, upon confronting this harsh reality, can we overcome it. Because this reality is nothing more than one of the mental impurities that are limiting our ability to progress. Truth is not about life or death, nor religion, nor patriotism, nor any "ISM" it is about being happy with, no matter how much or how little, you have.

Think about this!

Peace be with you, mark
