I think of that time now, so long ago it seems, but to think that, by that time, this beautiful country, in which i love dearly had already been undercut by its own blood. i cannot even begin to express the totality of the weight i felt as i truly began to study political science and see where we went wrong and why. scholars know, and critics pick, but for a boy to see those beautiful things as a child, and fall in love with this country, this american dream, spending his entire life trusting the powers that be, trusting the courts and justice system and faith that good is what we are as a great union, then in a very violent and savage way, realize this country that was built on honor strength faith liberty and civility and freedom died, and just for it to turn crook for the dollar. we are a country rich in coin, though very poor in truth and integrity. when we value plea deals and closures over true justice and civilty thats not great.. thats not even ok. its evil. its subverting the truth. its America sold for a price. American flesh and blood kidnapped, held for ransom, and forced to plea out in court for false charges any where from rape to murder, using force and fear as a leverage, and absolutely penalizing you for exercising your constitutional right to a jury trial if you lose on stand, your basically a dead man.
